Elastic can be a great way to handle cash emergencies and avoid more expensive bank fees. Once you’re approved for an Elastic Line of Credit, you can request cash at any time by logging into Elastic.com. Your line of credit will be there when you need it.

Cash from your Elastic line of credit can be deposited to your existing checking account as soon as the next business day; or, once you activate your Elastic Card, you can request that cash from your line of credit be deposited to your card immediately. You can use your Elastic Card to make purchases anywhere Visa® debit is accepted or to get cash at ATM’s.

One of the best features of the Elastic line of credit is simple, easy-to-understand pricing:

-
When you get a line of credit, you pay an access fee of $2.50 for each $20.
-
If you pay your line of credit back in full on or before your due date, there are no additional fees.
-
If you need more time to repay your line of credit, you have the option of paying an extension fee of $2.50 per $20 of the outstanding principal. We also require that you pay at least 10% of your original principal back to make sure that you’re reducing the amount you owe.
-
You can make payments on your Elastic Line of Credit at any time at Elastic.com.

When you get an Elastic line of credit, you’ll receive regular statements that clearly list all of the fees you’ve paid and your next payment due date. See our terms and conditions for more details. With successful payment history, you’ll be eligible for an increased line of credit.

Is Elastic right for you?

  UTB Success Card

For many people, Elastic is a better way to handle life’s everyday expenses. The Elastic line of credit can be a great way to handle cash emergencies and even save money by avoiding more expensive bank fees. The Elastic Visa® Prepaid Debit Card is a great way to make purchases, access cash, and avoid overdraft fees.

Here are a few of the most common ways our customers use Elastic:

  • Use Elastic to avoid bank overdraft and insufficient funds fees. This one is a no-brainer -- bank overdraft fees are almost always more expensive than an Elastic line of credit advance**. For example, if you need to cover a single $40 purchase, bank overdraft protection would cost an average of $34 but an Elastic line of credit would cost only $5. And remember, if you use your Elastic Card to pay bills and make purchases there are never overdraft fees.
  • Use Elastic to pay a bill on time. If you don't have the money when a bill is due, an Elastic line of credit can be a great way to avoid late fees or disconnection of service. And you can use your Elastic Card to pay bills anywhere Visa® debit is accepted (which is just about anywhere).
  • Use Elastic to cover unexpected expenses. Why do big expenses always seem to come at the worst times? If you’re in a pinch and need extra cash to cover an urgent medical need, car repair, or another unexpected expense, Elastic might be a great way to get back on track.
  • Use the Elastic Prepaid Card to avoid checking account fees For many people, the Elastic Card is better than a checking account. There are no overdraft fees, no fees for signature or PIN purchases, and no monthly fee if you load $500 on your card each month or use your Elastic line of credit in the previous 3 months*. And your purchases are protected with Visa®’s Zero Liability Policy.

Remember, an Elastic line of credit is for short-term cash needs and isn't the right solution for every financial situation. Before you apply, always consider these lower cost options:

  • Borrow money from a friend, family member or your employer.
  • Request a payment extension from the company that sent you a bill.
  • Check with your bank or credit card provider to see if they can provide a lower cost credit option.
